EarthX 2020 Expo is coming to Dallas April 24 though the 26 and we plan on celebrating my birthday and Earth Day this year with them this year again for the third year in a row. But let’s take a look at some of the Features, Main Attractions, and much more so not only we can plan the things we want to see and do, but you can plan along with us!
The other day I wrote about wanting to learn to sew and since then I have been planning my sewing adventure. I have been looking into which sewing machine that I wanted, and accessories. Not only the machine I want but the different projects that I want to give a try at.
A couple of weeks ago I saw an ad for the Brother Star Wars Sewing and Embroidery* Machine. Since then I have been wanting to learn to sew again. This is just another obsession that I am adding into the mix that is going to drive James mad.
We talked about Disney allowing Skoolies at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds a couple of days ago, today lets talk about Skoolie Dreams and floorplans. In 1995 laws were passed that school buses could not be longer than 40 foot in length. Recently that has changed to 45 feet.
This past weekend we went on a mini adventure. Well, James and I did. We ended up on a Date Night to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet that just had their grand opening a few days before. I wasn’t sure what we would find here, or if this would be a store that I would be returning to. Now that Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is Now Open in Mesquite TX, I can bring you a little sneak peek of what is in store for you when you adventure into this store that has taken over my childhood favorite, Toys R Us.
I have one pin on Pinterest that has been re-pinned hundreds of times. I get a notification that it has been pinned on someone else’s boards all the time. I have tried searching to see who it belonged to but it is just a twitter feed with the hashtag #skoolie.
Back in November, I wrote the post, His Love Language is Physical Touch and shared 50 ideas for the physical touch partner. Today, I am going to share ideas for the partner whos love language is Acts of Service. This is my love language, and James comes by speaking this easily. He seems to do something small every day at least that speaks to me in this way letting me know that he does love me.
One of the things that James and I try to do is have at least a couple of nights a month. As we were looking for date night ideas that range in price, I thought that this might be a great series for us over the next couple of months. That is when the ideas for Dating in DFW series came to mind. The first post, our introduction to Dating in DFW is a list of date night ideas. I am passionate about still having date nights even after James and I moved in together. We have to have time away from the children and also from my mother. Want to sponsor a Date Night Idea? Use the Work With Us contact form.
As we are saving up to go on our first family trip to Disney World, I started thinking about the different things that I wanted to experience at the parks. I have seen a lot of Ultimate Disney Bucket List on pinterest, but none of them have really caught my eye or were really what my family would want to do or see! So, It was time to create our own, and you can also get our FREE printable Ultimate Disney Bucket List printable at the end of this post too!
Welcome to the Discover Dallas series, where we share local finds around Dallas TX. Hidden away in a little corner of Oak Lawn in Dallas TX, you will find a fantasy themed park. In 2009 Mark Mahan built Dragon Park as an extension of Select Salon Dallas. If you are passing this park on the street, or even walking by, this park looks like an over grown garden guarded by two dragon sculptures.  But, once you walk inside you feel like you have stepped into another world.
Have you ever dreamed of winning the lottery? What about daydreaming of winning the lottery? Over the past few years, I have had several dreams of winning the lottery and it is always fun to think about what I would want to do with the lottery wins. I even have a secret Pinterest board of what I would want to do. I will set it to public as this post goes live.
My husband would say I have a very strange addiction to yachts here lately. I started to do research on them a while back because they really did interest me, and that interest keeps going. I follow a few yachts on Instagram, one even has its own youtube channel, but I follow a deckhand and a captain also.
This post is called working on my day one journal, so why did I start off talking about my accountability? Day One helps me stay accountable for my journals, and I want to keep it growing just like I am keeping this blog growing. Let’s talk about why I love Day One so far, and what I am using it for.
I few weeks ago, I purchased my original domain name, megannance.com and I have worked on it off and on getting it up and running, but I am so intertwined with Odysseys With Love that I think I am going to just keep the new site as my photography site. I was going to move over different aspects of this site to the new one, but I just don’t think that would work for me. I love Odysseys With Love and the Odysseys brand. But you know what? Sometimes life happens and I have been very busy in other areas of life than the website, but things are starting to calm down, and I will be back here soon. With a complete new look and overhall of Odysseys With Love and so much more. So loyal readers, keep a lookout!
Since the beginning of the year, I have been working on updating the website in design and so much more. So I started to look into how to update my old post and keep them relevant. I also wanted to see how to repost my blog post but also keep the original URL information in it. So today, I wanted to tell you how I went about doing this.
Have you ever gotten a message on facebook or Instagram from someone that you knew back in highschool asking how you have been and all of a sudden they are asking you to buy one of their products or “join their team?” I have always had a hard time telling them know so I have usually just “ghosted” them or just blocked or if they were or are a friend muted them. But This is why I do not support MLM’s and why you shouldn’t either.
2020 is going to be a hard year for the Odysseys Family. Christmas Eve we lost my mother, and we don’t really know what is going to happen just yet. I plan to sit down with the attorney that drafted my mothers will, but things are still up in the air a little right now. So, would you like to know how you can help the Odyssey Family in the meantime? Read on to find out more.
Over the past few days, I have been reorganizing my Lightroom Catalog and my external hard drive. I have over 14 years worth of images, both personal and professionally on this drive. 30 thousand images. I have client images from when I first started my photography career on that drive. I had the “smart” idea to delete old file folders off of this drive without thinking really to check them. It was my new folder that I deleted.
I’ve posted a few things here in the past couple of days about the Tour of Mesquite when we partnered with the Mesquite Convention and Visitors Center, www.VisitMesquiteTx.com, but today, I am sharing EVERYTHING that we did during this tour! Are you ready? This is My Hometown! Mesquite Texas!
