Since the beginning of the year, I have been working on updating the website in design and so much more. So I started to look into how to update my old post and keep them relevant. I also wanted to see how to repost my blog post but also keep the original URL information in it. So today, I wanted to tell you how I went about doing this.
2020 is going to be a hard year for the Odysseys Family. Christmas Eve we lost my mother, and we don’t really know what is going to happen just yet. I plan to sit down with the attorney that drafted my mothers will, but things are still up in the air a little right now. So, would you like to know how you can help the Odyssey Family in the meantime? Read on to find out more.
Lightroom to the rescue! I really love how you can catalog all of your images with Lightroom. I have a few different catalogs that I use, My photography clients catalog has been one that I have had since I started Megan Nance Photography several years ago. But, I have had a stock photo catalog for a while now, but when I had them all together, it bogged down my computer, so I had to seperate everything into their own catalog.
No one is perfect, and I am no exception to this. We had a lot of stuff going on and my internet was out for most of the morning. (I REALLY NEED TO GET ON TOP OF OUR BILL PAYMENTS). After the internet was restored, I went to pay the rest of the bills and went to get the items I needed to finish Skyler’s hair. I picked up a wig that I love (and the family hates), and like an idiot, I went and had my own hair cut. More on this in a minute.
I haven’t wanted to write anything in a while. We have been busy with things around the house, we haven’t done much fun around Mesquite or gone out and done anything really either. So, I was thinking about how to get my motivation to blog back and I think a challenge is just the thing. I am looking at Pinterest for different challenges to get me back into the mood of blogging different things. I will take one of the ideas from this board and blog about that every day for the next 30 days. While I am doing this, I am also going to be creating a blog post planning spreadsheet to get other blog post created for things around Mesquite and DFW.
Over the past few days, I have been reorganizing my Lightroom Catalog and my external hard drive. I have over 14 years worth of images, both personal and professionally on this drive. 30 thousand images. I have client images from when I first started my photography career on that drive. I had the “smart” idea to delete old file folders off of this drive without thinking really to check them. It was my new folder that I deleted.
Over the past month I noticed that the site wasn’t really working on mobile, it didn’t display how I wanted and it was hard to navigate to read new post and after a wonderful weekend working on a series of sponsored post, I knew that I had to make some changes! Off to learn a few new things about running a blog, coding, and running a wordpress website.
I haven’t been active on Youtube lately and started to think of a way to get us back on there, but with how uncomfortable I am on camera, I starting to think of different things that I can do. I noticed a few other YouTubers do something a little different. Thats where Podcast come in for us.
Thank You for downloading our 2019 Elementor Blog Post Template. I really do hope you will enjoy this and it makes blogging a little easier for you. First, a little bit of information about this template and why you should use it. Blogging is already hard enough, formatting your blog post should not be something that you really need to think about. That is where this template comes into play. The first two paragraphs of your blog post should let your readers know what the blog post will be about. Each paragraph needs to be between 3-4 sentences long, but not all of the information needs to be given in this area. But first, the template for this formatting is available in our resources page. AKA Start Here to download. ***Delete This caption*** Create a twitter card that is 1024X512. Make it easier by creating your graphic at https://www.canva.com/ Most People Do Not Read The actual Post, they tend to scan the headings As the heading above states, most people when they arrive on your website to read a particular article, they tend to scan the headings first to see if there is anything there for them to learn. This is a place to capture their attention. This also breaks up long and winded text on your site. Again you will only want to have between 3-4 sentences in each paragraph, with two paragraphs between each heading. You can also break up your text with images, quotes, and videos for example. Images on your site Need to be appropriately sized . One thing that will drive a reader away is slow loading time of your website. One thing that will cause your site to bog down and run slower is images that are too large. I am guilty of not resizing my images for the web, but I have found that using https://www.canva.com/ helps with the sizing of images for me.
