Discover Dallas | Teddy Bear Park

(Last Updated On: November 15, 2017)

Photographers and Families alike love this park. It is a beautiful park with a bonus feature. Teddy Bear Statues are on one side of the lake that are great photo ops for kids, while the rest of the park is great for engagement and maternity photos for others. Teddy Bear Park is part of Lakeside Park in the upscale neighborhood of Highland Park Texas. This is part of our Discover Dallas Series where we show all of our readers to neat areas in the Dallas Area.

Teddy Bear Park is a Photographers Dream

As a photographer myself, Lakeside Park (or Teddy Bear Park) is a dream come true to me. It has many areas to use for different style photos. The Private Property sign and the police office statue are actually on one of the home owners land that backs up to the park, they also have many other statues also, but the police officer one caught my attention. The girls loved playing around out at the park and actually sat still for me to take a few of them.

Beautiful Lakeside Park sits on over 14 acres of exceptionally landscaped grounds along Turtle Creek, located between Beverly Drive and Armstrong Parkway at 4601 Lakeside Drive.

The walking paths and numerous benches along the way are the perfect place for a leisurely stroll.  Enjoy the scenic views from the bridge atop the Turtle Creek Dam, the whimsy of the Teddy Bear statues, and the tranquility of the Read Memorial.
