Changing Our Lifestyle | Going on Weight Watchers

For months my mother has been making comments about my weight. I knew I gained some weight since leaving working full time in the security and law enforcement field. Most of the time I have been brushing it off as if it were nothing. I knew when I started to work from home that I would gain some weight. But I never knew I would gain this much. Truth is, I have no idea how much I have gained. I just know every time I look in the mirror I see roll after roll on my body.

My favorite outfits from working full time outside of the house don’t fit me anymore, and I have noticed that I have had more back problems and issues with my legs in the last couple of months.

So even though my mother has been pretty much Fat Shamming me for the last couple of months, I have noticed that I really do need to loose this weight.

I've noticed that I have started to gain a lot of weight lately and I know I need to lose weight. This weekend I have chosen to start changing our lifestyle and start losing weight with Weight Watchers.

First Thing First | Signing Up For Weight Watchers Freestyle

I haven’t done it yet. I need to get a check in the mail before I sign up. But this week, I am signing up for the Weight Watchers Freestyle Program. This program is different from the program I went on several years ago, and I have noticed that they now include over 200+ 0 point foods on the program now! What does this mean?

  • Eggs
  • Skinless Chicken Breast
  • Fish and Seafood
  • Corn
  • Beans
  • Peas

See all of those foods? All of those are 0 smart points. This means I will have better success at making meals that my family can enjoy by combining these foods with other foods that do have a point value.

Getting a Scale

One thing I am going to have to buy this week is a scale. After I am fully prepared to start this journey. I am going to start posting to Instagram and here about my weight loss journey. In the long run, I may start a new Instagram account for just the weight loss.

I've noticed that I have started to gain a lot of weight lately and I know I need to lose weight. This weekend I have chosen to start changing our lifestyle and start losing weight with Weight Watchers.

Pinterest Recipes. Filling My Kitchen With Healthy Choices.

After making the choice to start this journey again, I started looking up Weight Watchers Recipes and started to think about what I can start buying to stock up in my kitchen. Check out my newest pinterest board!

So not only does the Weight Watchers Website offer 1,000’s of recipes, but others have created their own recipes also that I am starting to save to make foods that my family will enjoy.

Meal Prepping

One other thing I started to think about is the lunches I send with James to work. I need to make sure I am sending foods with him that are different every day, but are healthier choices that he will still enjoy. I am not going to make him count points with me, but if I can help send healthy foods that will keep him going with more energy than I have been sending with him lately, I think he will thank me later. Especially as summer is coming and I know his work is a lot hotter than most.

I am thinking about buying a meal prepping boxes for me to box up his lunches and I think these that I found on Amazon would be perfect.

An Update on Weight Watchers

Before I even finished writing this post, I was able to sign up for my Weight Watchers Plan. I signed in this morning and plugged my morning coffee in and wanted to cry. Its 9 points! I am going to have to learn to drink my coffee black and without sugar.
